Percat Looks To Build On Sensational Debut
Coates Hire Racing’s Nick Percat is looking to build on his sensational Porsche Carrera Cup debut at the Clipsal 500 a fortnight ago, at this weekend’s second round of the Porsche Carrera Cup at the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix.

After qualifying on pole position in Adelaide, Percat finished the three races with a second place and a pair of thirds to finish the weekend third overall, and third in the championship after the first of seven rounds.
While Adelaide born Percat has been living in Melbourne for the past three years, he hasn’t raced on the Grand Prix circuit since winning both Formula Ford races there in 2009.
Speaking prior to the Grand Prix, Percat said: “I live near Albert Park and often take my dog there for a walk in the parklands area.
“Over the past few weeks I’ve watched the circuit slowly rise out of the ground for this weekend’s Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix.
“I really enjoy racing on street circuits and have tasted a bit of success on them. They test a driver more than a normal racetrack, as you have to be so precise all the time. I can’t wait to get out onto the Albert Park Grand Prix track in the Coates Hire Racing Porsche Carrera”.
