“The Pirelli World Challenge Series provides an exciting show for race fans and features some of the top manufacturers in the world including Cadillac, Audi, KIA, Mercedes Benz, Porsche and Volvo,” Circuit Executive Vice President Bruce Knox said. “In addition, some of the world’s greatest sports car drivers compete in Pirelli World Challenge, headlined by Johnny O’Connell, a four-time class winner at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans and overall winner at Sebring and the Rolex 24 at Daytona.”

“We are excited to be racing at the Circuit of The Americas; it’s a tremendous facility,” said Scott Bove, president and chief executive officer of WC Vision and the Pirelli World Challenge Championship Series. “In its history, the series has raced only a few times in the southwest. The drivers, teams and partners are all looking forward to entertaining the fans with our unique brand of sprint format sports car racing.”

“The Cadillac Pirelli World Challenge at Circuit of the Americas will no doubt be one of the most exciting weekends of the year for the series,” Greg Gill, vice president marketing and communications for Pirelli World Challenge Series, noted. “The ground-pounding GT and GTS classes will take to the track along with the 2013 debut of our TC and TCB racers. Our sponsor partners and fans cannot wait for this event.”

Tickets and on-site parking for the V8 Supercars Austin 400 and Pirelli World Challenge at Circuit of The Americas can be purchased at http://circuitoftheamericas.com/v8-supercars/. A schedule of the weekend’s events will be posted at the same URL once available.
