2013 Bristol: Carl Edwards NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Preview

In 17 starts at the 0.533-mile bullring, Edwards has two wins, four top-five, seven top-10 finishes and two poles. His average start is 18.4, and his average finish is 14.4. Edwards has completed 8084 of 8513 (95%) laps attempted at Bristol.

According to NASCAR’s Loop Statistics compiled over the last 17 races at Bristol, Edwards has turned 290 of the track’s fastest laps which is eighth highest, spent 5,208 laps (65%) in the top 15 and led a total of 345 laps (tenth most).

· The Car

The team will run RK-806 which was last ran in the fall Martinsville race finishing 14th and placed 5th in the fall Richmond race last season.

Kellogg’s will run the Frosted Flakes paint scheme on the No. 99 to kick off the first of four races in the Kellogg’s Ford Fusion this season. Kellogg’s will return again for Pocono, Watkins Glen and the fall Richmond races.
