Playboy has served as the title partner for the series since 2008. Founded in 1953 by Hugh Hefner, Playboy is now one of the most recognized and popular consumer brands in the world. The series entitlement is part of a robust marketing partnership between Mazda and Playboy.

BFGoodrich Tires returns as the official tire provider for the Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup for its fifth season with its g-Force R1. A subsidiary of Michelin, BFGoodrich produced its first tires in 1896, and also serves as the official street tire of SCCA, Inc.

Hawk Performance returns for the third-straight season, and sixth overall, as the official brake pad of the Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup. A division of Carlisle Brake and Friction, Hawk Performance manufactures each of its performance brake pads in its Medina, Ohio facility. Hawk Performance makes performance pads for numerous applications, from street to high-performance race cars. Hawk Performance has been the official brake pad supplier to the series since 2011, after initially serving the same capacity from 2006-2008. Like BFGoodrich Tires, Hawk Performance is also an official partner of SCCA, Inc.

“In racing it takes time to build a great team,” said John Doonan, Director of Mazda Motorsports. “We've spent several years building up the SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup with our friends and partners at the SCCA, Playboy, BFGoodrich Tires and Hawk Performance. We're pleased that we'll all be together again in 2013.

“The 2013 schedule is our best yet with amazing events from coast-to-coast,” Doonan added. “We're pleased that Houston is back on the schedule. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to race under the lights again.”

The opening Rounds of the 2013 SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup are March 13-15, part of the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring fueled by Fresh From Florida, in Sebring, Fla.
