ADVANCE NOTES

· Pastrana at Auto Club Speedway

o Pastrana will make his first start at Auto Club Speedway (ACS) in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) this weekend.

o In 2010, Pastrana found a different kind of success in California, breaking the world record for a rally car jump. On New Year’s Eve, the driver jumped a rally car off the Pine Avenue Pier, 269 feet onto a floating barge in Rainbow Harbor. To celebrate the feat, Pastrana did a backflip into the harbor.

QUOTE WORTHY

Pastrana On: His Season so far:

“My season is off to a pretty good start. I hope to continue learning and race every lap. Every track has been completely different so far, but I'm looking forward to this fast track. Both of my top-10s this year have come at the bigger and faster tracks.”

Racing in California:

“My wife is from Southern California and I will have a lot of family and friends at the race, so it would be awesome to run up front and at least put on a good show.”
