A Cocktail Masterclass With Felipe Massa
Adrenaline is in high gear as the much anticipated 2013 Formula 1 Malaysia Grand Prix approaches
For the thirty lucky customers who attended the Shell V-Power ‘Mixology Masterclass’, this was undoubtedly the highlight of their life when they were greeted by none other than Scuderia Ferrari official Formula One driver Felipe Massa at the exclusive event in Kuala Lumpur, today.

The event coincided with the 2013 Formula 1 Malaysia Grand Prix, where loyal users of Shell V-Power and lucky winners of a Shell V-Power radio contest were invited to this all-exclusive event. Massa turned lab scientist when he appeared on the stage to perform a Shell V-Power fuels “Mixology Masterclass’ with Ian Albiston, Shell’s Formula One Trackside and Logistics Manager and scientist Daniel Hope.
The ‘Mixology Masterclass’ session was a live demonstration, with a twist of fun, to bring to life the technology and research & development that draws an analogy with the various elements that go into the making of the superior formula of Shell V-Power fuel.
“At Shell, we always aim to provide our customers memorable experiences – be it through our fuels or marketing activities. Beyond offering high quality fuels, we also feel that it’s high time our customers see it for themselves; to truly discover the importance of Shell V-Power the performance fuel and what it can do for our car engines,” said Christine Liew, Head of Retail Marketing for Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Brunei.
Dr Andrew Foulds, Vice President, Fuels Technology, Shell who was also present at the event added, “Shell V-Power road fuel contains 99 percent of the same components as the Shell V-Power race fuel being used by Ferrari in the 2013 Formula 1 World Championship and is designed to enhance engine power and responsiveness by cleaning power-stealing deposits from the valves and injection system inside an engine. It also actively reduces friction by introducing a surface coating component to protect critical engine parts and unlock valuable energy.”
