With two spectacular events opening 2013 in the new era of Car of the Future, motorsport loving Tasmanians have flocked to grab tickets for the April 5-7 event.

As a result V8 Supercars has added an exclusive roof top area above the pit lane for ticket holders.

The Jim Beam Backyard pass offers premium viewing of the action at the country's shortest and spectacular Symmons Plains circuit that has decades of history behind it.

Fans who buy general admission tickets can upgrade to the Jim Beam Backyard which has spectacular viewing, a dedicated big screen, cash bar and the Jim Beam Party Crew.

Ticket buyers will also receive a pit lane walk.

V8 Supercars General Manager of Events, Kurt Sakzewski said the new on track initiative and extremely strong ticket sales would lead to an outstanding event.

"It is fantastic to see fans are just as excited about the next generation of V8 Supercars as we are and with the additional on track offering, fans will have the ultimate event experience," said Sakzewski.

"Ticket sales are extremely strong and we are delighted fans are engaging with the sport and supporting their teams trackside.

"The Jim Beam Backyard is a fantastic opportunity for fans with GA tickets to upgrade and see the track from both above and below."

The Jim Beam Backyard allows fans to experience the Tasmania Microsoft Office 365 from all angles with access to the V8 Supercars paddock and a highly popular pit lane walk.

Party on top of pit lane at the Jim Beam Backyard, with a dedicated big screen, cash bar and the Jim Beam Party Crew. Tickets are strictly limited; one day tickets start from $105 or purchase a weekend pass from $171. Visit ticketek.com for more information.
