Being the only top-tier single seater championship to hold a round in the African continent, Auto GP is eager to start the engines and thrill the Moroccan crowds, and Ibiza Racing Team has high hopes of being among the weekend's key players.

The iberian squad arrives in Morocco on a high after a stunning debut weekend in Monza: the opening event of the series saw Ibiza Racing shine and clinch a dominating win in Race 1, followed by a very good 4th place in Race 2. Thanks to those results the team now lies in second place in the standings and the same goes for driver Sergio Campana, who's trailing championship leader Sato by just 3 points.

Marrakech holds some very good memories for the Italian youngster: on the Moroccan city track Sergio bagged an impressive win last year, battling until the very last lap with title winner Adrian Quaife-Hobbs in the season's most exciting race. It's a result that Campana aims to repeat to boost his title chances.

If on one side Sergio will try to confirm his winning pace, on the other hand Giuseppe Cipriani's aim in Marrakech will be making the most of the huge potential he showed in Monza, where the Italian entrepreneur was hampered by bad luck. Very quick in each practice session, Cipriani was denied a possible podium finish by a pit-stop issue in Race 1, and in Race 2 was forced to retire due to a mechanical glitch. Anyway his pace was really good and a good result should be in his reach in Morocco.

Modesto Benegiamo (Team Manager): "After a dream start like the one we had in Monza our aim is to confirm that we have the pace to challenge for wins. We know it won't be easy because everybody is pushing hard to get up there, but we will do our best.

What we know for sure is that Marrakech suits Campana well, as he won here last year, and that Cipriani likes the track too, so we have high hopes. We'll do everything we can to fulfill them".
