NASCAR Day started in 2004 with the mission of The NASCAR Foundation: "embodying the compassion of the NASCAR Family and its commitment to serving communities. The NASCAR Foundation seeks to raise funds and increase volunteerism to support nonprofit charities and charitable causes throughout the nation with an emphasis placed on initiatives that affect the ability of children to live, learn and play."

"On behalf of the Tommy Baldwin Racing team, we are proud to support such a great cause this weekend at RIR," said Team Owner Tommy Baldwin. "NASCAR Day is a cause that everyone can get involved in and we are encouraging the TBR race fans to get involved - buy your pins and get out on May 17th and make a difference."

Yeley's history at Richmond: Yeley has 7 starts at RIR. His best finish came in 2007, with a Top-10. JJ's average finish is 25.4.

Yeley on Richmond: "I am so excited to be heading to Richmond this weekend representing the upcoming NASCAR Day. This is a great charity that all the members of our sport, as well as our fans, get to participate in. Hopefully our No. 36 Chevy will help to bring more awareness to the fans this weekend when we race under the lights."

Yeley by the numbers: Heading into Richmond, JJ Yeley is currently in 30th position in the NASCAR Sprint Cup points. He is 188 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson.
