Rouse Looks To Extend Triumph Triple Challenge Lead At Oulton... News From Chrissy Rouse

CHRISSY Rouse heads to Oulton Park this weekend seeking two podiums in a bid to boost his lead in the Triumph Triple Challenge.

The Stratstone Triumph Racing rider is looking to take as many points as possible in Bank Holiday Monday’s two races at the Cheshire circuit and stretch his points lead.

The 17-year-old Geordie is five points clear of nearest rival Phil Atkinson following his win at Thruxton almost three weeks ago, and is keen to stay in command this weekend.

"I can’t wait to get to Oulton, it seems so long since Thruxton!" he said. "I like the track, it’s a challenging circuit and I’ve had some good results there in the past.

"I got the lap record there when I was in Superteens but then I ended up dislocating my shoulder there last year, so I’m hoping that was just a glitch and I can enjoy a much better round this year!

"I tested at Oulton last week and it went really well. I’ve got a nice set-up now and I’m looking forward to this weekend.

"Obviously two podiums is what I’m looking for but I’ll be happy as long as I can finish as high as I can and bring home as many points as I possibly can. I have a five point lead so I’d like to stretch that if possible."

Chrissy’s weekend begins on Saturday with free practice, followed by qualifying on Sunday and two races on Bank Holiday Monday.
