Darlington Top Nationwide Track for Roush Fenway
Darlington Raceway is the most successful tracks in the history of Roush Fenway’s celebrated Nationwide program. The organization’s 15 wins at Darlington are the most for Roush Fenway at any track in any series. In only 62 starts at Darlington, Roush Fenway has collected 32 top-fives (second most) and 41 top-10 finishes, while leading 1,800 laps. Roush Fenway won three of its first four (and five of the first seven) Nationwide Series (NNS) races at Darlington Raceway. Matt Kenseth’s 2009 NNS win at Darlington gave the organization its 15th series win at the track. Four drivers have won for RFR at Darlington in the NNS.

In the Sprint Cup Series at Darlington
Roush Fenway has won five times in the Sprint Cup Series at Darlington, while boasting 34 top-five and 67 top-10 finishes. In addition, Roush Fenway has six poles at Darlington, and has led 2,713 laps at the track deemed “Too Tough to Tame.” Roush Fenway driver Greg Biffle has two Cup wins at Darlington, winning back-to-back in ‘05 and ’06.

Pole Sweep
Last season RFR swept the pole in both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races at Darlington. Greg Biffle captured the pole for the Sprint Cup Southern 500, while Ricky Stenhouse captured RFR’s 10th Darlington pole in the Nationwide Series.

Last Season at Darlington
RFR was strong in last year’s Southern 500; Biffle led 74 laps after starting from the pole, with Roush Fenway placing two Fords in the top-seven in the final rundown. On the NNS side, Ricky Stenhouse led 18 laps from the pole and finished sixth in the race.

Closing In
Carl Edwards used his fifth top-five finish of the season to move to within 41 points of the Sprint Cup points lead after his third-place run at Talladega. Greg Biffle sits in 10th and rookie Ricky Stenhouse moved up two spots to 16th. On the NNS side, Trevor Bayne is 10th and Travis Pastrana is 15th.

Buescher Back To Make Third Start of Season
RFR driver Chris Buescher will make his third start of the season in the NNS this weekend at Darlington. Buescher scored a top-10 finish earlier this year at Bristol. He finished 17th in the NNS at Darlington two seasons ago. In addition, Buescher will run a special “Boston Strong” paint scheme on his No. 16 Ford Mustang this weekend.
