Dallenbach on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: “I still think Denny [Hamlin] can get in this thing [the Chase].”

Dallenbach on trouble drivers face at Pocono Raceway: “We’ve seen a lot of guys, here at Pocono, have a lot of trouble with their brakes.”

TNT reporter Ralph Sheheen interviewed No. 2 Brad Keselowski on his prediction for Pocono: “I’m not quite sure how we’re going to do with the Penske cars. You just don’t know how these cars are going to play out. I think we run really well when the track is hot and slick.”

No. 11 Denny Hamlin speaking with Wally Dallenbach before the start of the race: “I typically love it when TNT comes on air because that’s when we hit our stride.”

Dallenbach on the Pocono Raceway on race day Sunday versus practice day Saturday: “This race track, as the temperatures heat up… [the drivers are] going to have to make major adjustments to stay up with it. This race track is different than it was yesterday [in practice].”

Petty on today's race: “Because qualifying was rained out, you don’t know who’s good and who’s bad [on this track].”

Petty on No. 48 Jimmie Johnson: "Jimmie Johnson looked awfully good at practice yesterday.”

McReynolds on the race track conditions at Pocono: “When it [race track] cools down, it’s going to gain grip.”

Dallenbach on No. 20 Matt Kenseth and his ability to make effective pit stops: “Matt Kenseth is the best guy out there of getting into the pits and making up time during his pit stops.”

Petty on the difference in racing today versus racing 20-30 years ago: “It amazes me how technical this sport has gotten…[Years ago] nobody talked about fuel mileage. Now they have it figured to the ‘nth’ degree. These guys are not in racing mode. They are in [fuel] conservation mode…to put them in position at the end of the race to win.”

Dallenbach on No. 39 Ryan Newman running to the end of the race: “If I’m [Denny] Hamlin or Tony Stewart, I don’t want to be anywhere near Newman. If that thing [No. 39 car] runs out of gas with two laps to go, there’s going to be a big wreck.”

Petty on No. 18 Kyle Busch: “Kyle was one of the few guys yesterday we saw experimenting with shifting – where to shift, where not to shift to save fuel. He may have been here all day long [yesterday] to put himself in position to [win] in the end.”

Petty on the theme of the day at Pocono: “The theme of the day [has been] – get all you can get from the restarts.”
