Ben Rhodes And Hawk-Mccall Motorsports Looking Forward To Father's Day Weekend Race At Anderson Motor Speedway

One week after racing to a fifth-place finish in the NASCAR K&N East – West combo event at Iowa Speedway (IA) with Turner Scott Motorsports, Louisville, Kentucky, native and NASCAR Next driver Ben Rhodes will be back in his Hawk-McCall Motorsports No. 41 Alpha Energy Solutions Ford at Anderson Motor Speedway (SC) during Father’s Day weekend for 150 laps of competition in the UARA-STARS Late Model Stock feature Friday, June 14th.

While the 16 year old would like to win every event he enters, Friday night’s race would be one Rhodes would like to drive into victory lane for a few reasons.

“Every race I go to win, but Friday I want to win for two big reasons,” said Rhodes. “First, Anderson Motor Speedway is just down the road from the Hawk-McCall Motorsports race shop, and it would be really cool to win the race for Randy (Hawkins, co-owner) and Lee (McCall, co-owner and crew chief) and all the HMM guys. Second, Father’s Day is on Sunday. Both of my parents have been my biggest supporters of my racing career, and I would love to get a victory for my dad.”

Rhodes’ best result in a Late Model at Anderson Motor Speedway is a sixth-place finish in June, 2012. He feels he can better that result Friday night.

“The Hawk-McCall Motorsports team has been on a roll this year,” said Rhodes. “Lee and the guys have been putting in many hours at the race shop preparing our car so when we unload at the track we are already set to go fast. I feel we are ready for Friday night and hope to have the Alpha Energy Solutions Ford there at the end of the race to contend for the win.”

The No. 41 machine is also sponsored by Alliance Comfort Systems, Kentucky National Guard, Refrigerant Rescue, and Park Community Federal Credit Union.

Qualifying for the 150-lap UARA-STARS Late Model Stock race at Anderson Motor Speedway will take place on Friday, June 14th, at 5:45pm. A fan meet-and-greet autograph session will take place at 7:10pm with racing starting at 8pm.
