ECR Decal In Tribute To Jason Leffler

Ed Carpenter Racing team manager Tim Broyles has designed a special decal for the No. 20 Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka Chevrolet in tribute of racer Jason Leffler, who was killed Wednesday night in a sprint car race in New Jersey. Broyles offered the special decal to all of the IZOD IndyCar Series teams to carry on their cars during the Milwaukee IndyFest weekend. Team owner/driver Ed Carpenter was a fellow USAC competitor with Leffler in the USAC midget and Silver Crown races in the early 2000s.

In addition, Carpenter and Leffler were teammates on the Dollar General racing effort in 2010 with Ed driving for Sarah Fisher Racing and Jason for Turner Scott Motorsports.

“Our family is extremely saddened by the passing of Jason Leffler last night in New Jersey. I raced against Jason in USAC and he was an excellent driver and a champion back then. We also worked together for Dollar General when I drove for Sarah Fisher’s IndyCar team and he drove for Turner Scott Motorsports in NASCAR. While I had not talked with him in some time, he was always a good guy and a determined racer. Our prayers go out to his family and friends in this very difficult time.”
