Bliss, Takes Another Shot at DIS (@MikeBliss19):
The No. 19 receives a facelift this week as Mike Bliss debuts a new sponsor for Friday night’s race. Tweaker Energy Shot will give Bliss the edge he needs for retribution at Daytona International Speedway.

“We were in place for a good finish at Daytona in February and got caught up in a wreck with three laps to go,” said Bliss. “I am really looking forward to getting back there and making up for our last effort.”

Bliss will make his 19th start at Daytona International Speedway; his 10th for this event alone. In his previous attempts, Bliss has earned one pole, one top five and three top-10’s. Bliss’ best finish came in 2004 when he placed fifth.

Green is Energized for Daytona:
Former NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion Jeff Green will make his 20th start at Daytona International Speedway for Friday night’s Subway Firecracker 250.

“Daytona is a really great track. The fans are always energized to watch us race, which really pumps you up as a driver,” said Green. “There’s so much racing history in Daytona and its’ surrounding areas; no matter how many times you come here, you’re still amazed.”

Green has led 29 laps at the World Center of Racing and has scored two top-five and three top-10 finishes. Green earned his best finish in 1999 when he placed second.

McClure: Something Special About Daytona (@ericmcclure):
As one of the Virginia native’s best tracks, Eric McClure looks forward to Friday night’s Subway Firecracker 250. McClure will make his 15th career start at Daytona’s 2.5-mile superspeedway. Coming off a 23rd place finish in Kentucky, McClure looks forward to the spontaneity that Daytona International Speedway produces.

“I feel like we will be very competitive in the race; we usually have good race cars at the plate tracks. The key is to not be in the wrong place at the wrong time, like at Talladega earlier this year. But there's not much you can do about it. We were special in February and I believe we can be this weekend as well.”

The 12th Annual Subway Firecracker 250 will be McClure’s 215th NASCAR Nationwide Series event. McClure’s best finish this season came at Daytona in February when he placed eighth.

Whitt: Determined Now More Than Ever (@ColeWhitt):
Disappointed but determined, leaving Kentucky last weekend, Cole Whitt couldn’t wait for Daytona. Debuting his No. 44 Moen Camry this Friday, Whitt has a clean slate. Whitt knows hard work pays off and is optimistic Daytona could be the stage for his success. Although Whitt and his team hit a bump in the road last weekend; they’re amped for the Subway Firecracker 250.

“I am confident we can be one of the top competing teams and I am determined to show everyone the hard work we’ve been doing,” said Whitt. “I have a great team and supportive owners and sponsors. Now I need the finishes to complete the equation.”

Statistics don’t lie. Whitt will make his third start at the 2.5-mile superspeedway. In his two previous starts, he has one top-five and one top-10, with his best finish of fourth at the February event last year.
