'Countdown To The 20th Running At The Brickyard' NASCAR Number: Day 10


On Sunday, July 28, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will celebrate a special milestone – the 20th premier series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (1 p.m. ET on ESPN, IMS Network Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio). To commemorate the milestone, starting Tuesday, July 2, 2013, and continuing each weekday through Friday, July 26, the NASCAR Wire Service will feature a special “Countdown To The 20th Running At The Brickyard” NASCAR Number. 10: That’s the number of consecutive wins by Chevrolet at Indianapolis Motor Speedway going into this year’s 20th running at the Brickyard. Kevin Harvick started the streak in 2003, winning from the Coors Light Pole. Since then, the following Chevrolet drivers have visited Indy’s Victory Lane: Jeff Gordon (2004), Tony Stewart (2005, ’07), Jimmie Johnson (2006, 2008-09, ’12), Jamie McMurray (2010) and Paul Menard (2011).
