o Pastrana also has three K&N Pro Series East starts at Iowa Speedway. In 2011 he made his second K&N start at the track, finishing 33rd. In 2012, he earned two of his best K&N finishes at the track, finishing fourth and sixth.

· The Car

o Chassis RK-726 will race at Iowa Speedway for the second time this season and the third time this year, overall. This chassis most recently finished 32nd at Iowa. RK-726 also raced at Bristol Motor Speedway, finishing 16th.

· No. 60 Ford Mustang Pays Homage to X Games
o Immediately following the NNS race in Iowa, Pastrana will head off to participate in LA X Games RallyCross.
o Pastrana’s X Games accomplishments are legendary, racking up 17 medals, including 11 gold. He brought home his first gold medal in 1999 as the youngest competitor to win in freestyle motocross. In 2006 Pastrana put himself in rare company, winning three gold medals in a single X Games, which included the famous feat of landing a double-backflip on a motorcycle, the first person to ever do so.

o “This is a huge opportunity for me to be able to bring some eyes from NASCAR over to the X Games and vice versa,” said Pastrana. “It's never easy to compete and be competitive in more than one discipline, but I've made a career out of doing that. No matter what, this weekend will be a lot of fun. I haven't won an event yet this year and it’s a good time to turn the season around.”

· Local Connections

o For the second time this season, Crew Chief Chad Norris of Fremont returns to his home state.

· Recapping Indianapolis

o Pastrana and the No. 60 Roush Fenway team battled hard in a back-up car to earn a top-10 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Pastrana picked up six positions in the final six laps to earn his fourth top-10 finish of the season.
o He remains 14th in the NNS point standings.

QUOTE WORTHY

“Iowa is one of my favorite race tracks. I had my best races there in the K&N Series and we were running well earlier this year when I got caught up in a crash. Representing X Games at this event will be an honor and an extra incentive to have a great finish.”
