"I really enjoy these school visits we do for Matco (Tools)," Brown said. "I was just like many of these students not too long ago when I was a student at Mercer College in New Jersey. It's nice to give back and speak to the students about career paths and the importance of focusing on education.

"These are the technicians and mechanics of tomorrow and it's great to meet the students and hopefully deliver a positive message. Ranken is a new school for us to visit and it's fun to see new faces and meet new students. I think it's great that Matco makes this a top initiative for the company and our race team."

The Ranken Technical College visit is the fifth of seven vocational school visits that Brown will make as part of Matco's TechEd program this season. Brown will speak to two groups of students between 10 a.m.- 2p.m. at the Ranken campus located at 4431 Finney Avenue in St. Louis.

Brown, 37, is the defending NHRA Top Fuel champion and winner of the AAA Midwest Nationals at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Ill. He has 39 career wins and is competing in his sixth season in the Top Fuel class.
