Breast Cancer Survivors to Join NASCAR Drivers Matt Kenseth, Brian Vickers And Elliott Sadler TOMORROW To Paint Pit Wall Pink


Breast cancer survivors are invited to help Charlotte Motor Speedway kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Tuesday, Oct. 1, by joining Dollar General drivers Matt Kenseth and Brian Vickers, NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Elliott Sadler and Fox Sports 1 motorsports analyst Hermie Sadler to paint the start/finish line and pit road wall pink.

The event will also preview the pink-themed Oct. 11 Dollar General 300, celebrate survivors and honor those fighting breast cancer. Kenseth and Vickers will also unveil new paint schemes that they will run during race week in Charlotte, and Dollar General will make a special check presentation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support breast cancer education and research.

The program begins at Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Breast cancer survivors wishing to take part are asked to check in at the ticket office on the second floor of Smith Tower by 10:15 a.m. From there, the group will be escorted to the start/finish line for the program. Those who plan to attend are asked to wear pink. Paint, brushes and rollers will be provided by PPG Porter and Glidden Paints.

Fans can catch all the action from Bojangles' Pole Night and the UNOH Southern Slam 150 on Oct. 10, to the Dollar General 300 on Oct. 11 and the Bank of America 500 on Oct. 12 with a weekend pass starting at just $99.
