NASCAR Number (Oct. 2, 2013)

By Reid Spencer, NASCAR Wire Service

6: The current number of consecutive top-10 finishes posted by Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup leader Matt Kenseth in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Kansas Speedway, site of Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400, the fourth event in the 2013 Chase. Kenseth, who has shown enormous strength at intermediate tracks this season, has won the last two races at the 1.5-mile speedway. Nevertheless, fans of Jimmie Johnson should not despair. The five-time champion has an active streak of nine straight top 10s (including two victories) at Kansas, where he finished third behind Kenseth and Kasey Kahne in April.
