· 250 laps on the 2.0-mile/3.219-km superspeedway

Bookmark and Share

· Live at 8 p.m. ET Saturday, October 19 on NBC Sports Network, IMS Radio Network, Sirius/XM Radio 211 and indycar.com

· Same tire specification run at Texas Motor Speedway in June

· Each entry receives 15 sets of tires for the race weekend

· Rookie drivers and those outside the top 10 in points receive a 16th set that must be returned following the first practice session

· Tire stagger of approximately 0.45 of an inch for all sets of tires

· Tire stagger, created by molding the right rear tire with a slightly larger diameter than the left rear, helps Indy cars turn more smoothly on oval tracks

· At Auto Club Speedway, the Firestone right rear tire can carry the load of an entire Honda Civic or Chevrolet Cruze and all four tires combined can carry a side force up to four times the weight of an IndyCar

This weekend’s Firestone Indy Lights race will be the final Indy Lights race for Firestone. After 23 seasons as the exclusive tire supplier, including 17 years as title sponsor, Firestone has earned an impressive range of statistics:

· Saturday’s race will be the 290th with Firestone, or sister brand, Dayton

· In 289 events, drivers have completed 365,021.38 race miles

· 377 drivers have competed in those races, with 99 different drivers winning a race

· Most career Firestone Indy Lights wins: 13 by Greg Moore (1994-1995)

· 109 Firestone Indy Lights drivers have gone on to compete in the IndyCar Series, CART or Champ Car, with 25 winning an Indy-car race

· Fifty-six percent (56%) of the drivers (14 of 25) entered in this weekend’s MAVTV 500 have competed in Firestone Indy Lights
