2013 Homestead: Spencer Gallagher NASCAR Truck Race Preview

This weekend the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) makes its final stop of the 2013 season at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Miami, Fla., for the running of the Ford EcoBoost 200. Known for its combination of high speeds with modest banking, Homestead-Miami Speedway is sure to produce an exciting season finale on Friday evening.

Uncharted Territory – Friday night’s race marks Spencer Gallagher’s third career NCWTS start, but first visit to Homestead-Miami Speedway. Coming off a successful finish at Texas Motor Speedway and a strong season in the ARCA Racing Series, Gallagher will be looking to put his best foot forward and bring home a good finish for his Gallagher Motorsports team.

A Rookie on Track, A Veteran in the Sky - Helping Gallagher navigate the rowdy NCWTS field this weekend will be veteran NASCAR Sprint Cup Series spotter Rocky Ryan. Ryan also spotted for Gallagher in his previous two NCWTS races at Texas Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway.

Brand New Chassis - Chassis No. 100 has been selected by Gallagher Motorsports for the Ford EcoBoost 200. This is a new chassis that will make its first laps on track this weekend.

TV Time in Miami - The Ford EcoBoost 200 will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 at 8 p.m. (All times Eastern.)

Local Allegiant Travel Markets - Nestled near Homestead-Miami Speedway is one of Allegiant Travel’s most valued markets, Ft. Lauderdale (FLL). A popular vacation getaway in the Florida sun, Allegiant has seen FLL grow into one of its most popular routes.

Spencer Gallagher, Driver of the No. 21 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet Silverado:
“Coming off of a successful race at Texas (Motor Speedway) where we met all of our goals, I feel confident heading to yet another new track this weekend. Homestead (Miami Speedway) seems to provide a quality on track race, especially in the truck series each year and I am excited to put our Allegiant Travel Chevrolet in the mix of things.”
