Isaac Tutumlu already finalizes details for his last racing commitment in 2013. This year has proven to be extremely positive for the Spanish driver of Kurdish roots, as he took the title in the Spanish Iber GT championship last month, and in addition the Barzani Racing Team driver was able to clinch victories and podiums in the International GT Open as well. 2014 will be his maiden season in the new United SportsCar Championship, driving a StarWorks Motorsport PC Prototype, one of the most successful endurance teams on the international stage, claiming even a world title in the FIA WEC.

But, previously to that new challenge, Tutumlu is going to participate in the Gulf 12 hours, a race held at the luxury Yas Marina Circuit, in Abu Dhabi. Tutumlu, racing under Barzani Racing Team banner again, will drive a rhino´s Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3. His teammates will be Fabian Hamprecht and Patrik Kaiser from Germany, two highly reputed drivers in GT world. “It is the very last race for Barzani Racing Team and we came to an agreement with Leipert Motorsport, a team with a solid reputation in GT world. My new car will be a Lamborghini Gallardo, one of my toughest rivals in the GT Open this year!”, Tutumlu explains. He also points out “Fabian is a very young driver but very quick indeed. On the other hand Patrik has loads of experience with very different cars, so I feel confident about our chances. I know this track as I raced there two years ago, participating in the Porsche Supercup. Considering it is an endurance event, it is important to reach the end. We will focus on our race pace and, with a good pit strategy, a podium finish has to be an option at the end”.

The 12-hour race, taking place on Friday, is divided into two heats consisting of 6 hours each.
