Javier Ibrán approaches his sixth and final round of the season in the Maserati Trofeo World Series in the Middle East. Despite he did not know the car used in the series or even the tracks, his performances and results have clearly improved over the season. The championship comes to an end at the Yas Marina Circuit, located in Abu Dhabi and without a doubt one of the most luxurious and sophisticated cities all around the world. Ibrán aims at shining at this track, a “world class” venue hosting even Formula 1.

Yas Marina Circuit is another unknown new track for Ibrán and its length of 5.554 meters has some unique features. The Spanish driver comments on the circuit that “it is another new venue for me, absolutely unknown. But it is almost a dream for me, as a driver, to race here as the track and even the city are absolutely amazing. After viewing several on-board laps, I have noticed it is a lot of fun but there are some critical points as well. Yas Marina Circuit is, for sure, a dramatic and exciting track for each and every championship racing there”. About his targets, he adds “I don´t have to worry about the car anymore, so I will try my best! I think these Arab races will be fascinating, and I want to be among the main actors at Yas Marina, to sign off the season in a good way”.

Unlike other previous meetings the races for the Maserati Trofeo World Series will take place on Friday, sharing prominence with Gulf 12 hours also celebrated this week.
