The winners of Motors TV’s search for a new presenter and commentator can look forward to helping front live Avon Tyres British GT Championship coverage in 2014, the High Speed Television Channel can reveal today.

The initial announcement of the competition, which invites fans attending the Autosport International Show at Birmingham’s NEC on January 9-12 to audition in front of the camera and behind the microphone, had previously withheld the name of the UK series its two lucky winners would be working on throughout next season.

In partnership with the championship’s respected production company, Hayfisher, Motors TV’s competition will provide on-air talent for one of the country’s highest profile and best-supported championships, working alongside its current presenting and commentary team.

And as well as helping to front Motors TV’s highlights packages from all seven events, winners will also be expected to cope with the added pressures of live television, which will feature at no fewer than two rounds.

All those wishing to enter should visit the Motors TV stand (no.2765 in hall 20) throughout the four-day exhibition where a professional TV studio and commentary booth will be constructed. All entries will then be whittled down to five finalists from each category before a panel of industry experts and @MotorsTV followers decides the winners.

A daily highlights programme on-air from January 10 will also feature a selection of the best and worst auditions!

Motors TV UK is available on Sky Channel 447 and Virgin Media 545.

*Eventual winners must hold a valid UK drivers’ licence and be available to travel across the UK at specific weekends throughout 2014.
