Adam Marjoram Signs With Erebus Motorsport And Auto One

20-year-old Marjoram will bring his corporate support from Australian automotive retailer, Auto One to Erebus Motorsport and will race under the South Coast Racing franchise in the new combined two car effort.

The Perth youngster has been a full-time driver in the V8 Utes category in 2013. This new arrangement also sees him welcomed to the Erebus Academy pool of drivers, where he will join Jack Le Brocq.

Adam has enjoyed steady results in his first year of competition in the Auto One V8 Ute series, ranging from posting consistent top 10 results to becoming an innocent victim of the multi-car pile up that brought an early end to racing on the Gold Coast.

Aside from being one of the most popular young stars of the V8 Utes, Adam studies a double degree with five majors at the University of Western Australia, whilst also working within an Auto One store and running multiple social media pages.

Marjoram is extremely excited by the opportunity to shift his Ute program to Erebus:

“It has been an amazing first year on the main stage of motorsport, we have had some great moments. My aim for this year was to learn all of the tracks and how to handle these V8 Utes, and build a good base to be able to push from for 2014.” said Marjoram

“To have Erebus ask me to come on board is just a dream come true. They are such a professional outfit, particularly to become part of the Erebus Academy too. It is a fantastic program, I think 2014 is going to be awesome,” said Marjoram.

“My childhood dream is to race a V8 Supercar and that is where my sights are set. This program will give me the opportunity to take a further step closer."

Adam is also pleased to continue his relationship with Automotive Retailer, Auto One for the 2014 season.

“Auto One has supported me through my racing career to date, they are great to work with and a very well known and fantastic brand to have an association with.

“I’ve been very thankful for the continued support I’ve received from Auto One, my family, fans and additional sponsors such as Valvoline, Supercharge Batteries, Nova - and now Erebus.”

Chief Executive Officer of Erebus Motorsport, Ryan Maddison welcomed Marjoram on board:

“Adam’s a bright talent with a very clear direction on where he wants to take his career,” said Maddison. “He’s an impressive, hard working young guy that meets all of the qualities that Erebus Motorsport looks for in a driver.

“We also welcome Adam to the Erebus Academy as another driver in our pool looking towards the future of Erebus Motorsport.

“We’re also extremely pleased to be associated with a brand such as Auto One that holds a great position of strength in the Australian automotive market. We hope the Auto One members and customers will embrace this program and show their support for Erebus and Adam throughout 2014.

Erebus Motorsport General Manager, Motorsport - Barry Ryan explained the expansion of the Erebus V8 Ute program:

“To be successful in V8 Utes requires the same dedication as any other category - it is a definite strong stepping stone for young drivers like Adam to develop important racing attributes such as the opportunity to learn tracks, work with engineers and within a team, learning data - along with sponsor, fan and media liaison.

“By bringing Adam, South Coast Racing and Auto One under our umbrella, we’re able to add to our pool of drivers but also add some fantastic corporate support from the likes of Auto One and another well known motorsport personality in Adam.

“This program assists us in providing a pathway for young drivers and Adam’s commitment to the V8 Utes for this reason is the epitome of what Erebus Motorsport is aiming to achieve.”
