Jarrell will return to the seat of a US Legend Car, and will drive the No. 4 DRIVE SMART Virginia for James Edwards of Mr. E Performance. The Martinsville, Va., native will be part of the series' Pro Asphalt division.

In 2012 Jarrell accumulated 23 victories in 43 starts, including such highlights as winning the Big Money 100 as well as two trips to victory lane during the Summer Shootout Series hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway. He ended the season third in the national points for INEX Legends Car Series in the Young Lion division.

The partnership coincides with the December announcement of Jarrell becoming the DRIVE SMART VirginiaTeen Ambassador, forging a partnership with DRIVE SMART Virginia through a mutual passion for safety. As the DRIVE SMART Virginia Teen Ambassador, 16-year old Jarrell will educate other teendrivers across Virginia on the valuable message of how distracting driving is dangerous.

"I'm passionate about safety," Jarrell said. "I'm excited to talk to kids my age and helping everyone understand that it only takes a split second to wreck. It doesn't matter if you're on the track, a county road or the highway."

DRIVE SMART Virginia's mission is to educate drivers and raise traffic safety awareness in order to save lives and reduce injuries on Virginia's roadways.

Practice for the US Legend Cars International will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, from 2-5 p.m. Entrance gates open at noon. The main event is Saturday, Jan. 4. Gates open at 8 a.m.
