The Gold Coaster is coming off back-to-back championship titles and would love to be the first V8 Ute driver to make it three in a row.

“To win three in a row would be amazing, we are very prepared this year, sponsors locked in thanks to All Purpose Pest Control, test days locked in so hopefully we can hit the ground running in Adelaide,” said Harris.

Harris’s Ford will once again be prepared by Joe Devries at Big Gun Racing, Devries and team owner Peter Burnitt are excited to have the talented driver back for another year.

“It’s very exciting to know we may have a third championship under our belt, it will be interesting to see if we can do it again, we have four cars this year so will have our work cut out for us. There’s a lot of a new drivers coming in, so it will be very interesting,” said Devries.

Brisbane based Big Gun Racing’s four car team includes; Peter Burnitt, Cam Wilson, Harris and the fourth driver to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Harris will be making his tenth appearance at the Clipsal 500, which will kick off the season campaign. Although he has stood on the Clipsal podium three times, he is yet to claim the round and he’s hoping 2014 will be the year.

“I am yet to win an overall round in Adelaide so I will be pushing hard to make that happen," said Harris.

The 29 year old has held the nickname “The Kid” since he began his V8 Ute Campaign back in 2004, and after 10 years he has now become “The Pest”.

“The Pest” will take to the streets of Adelaide 27th February – 2 March.
