Porsche 911 RSR Factory Drivers Start Second Stint

After a full rotation of drivers, Nick Tandy (Great Britain), in the No. 911 Porsche 911 RSR, and Patrick Long (Playa del Rey, California), in the No. 912 team Porsche – both the starting drivers at the green flag more than ten hours ago – are back in their respective rides, the two Porsches continue to swap the first six places in the GT Le Mans class at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

At the ten hour mark, Tandy and Long are first and fourth respectively in the standings, having given up the one-two standing after the No. 912 was penalized with a drive-thru penalty for too many people over the wall on a pit stop. For the past several hours, the two Porsche 911 RSRs have traded the GTLM class led over the last several hours as top teams rotate pit stops. One of the Corvettes and one of the Vipers has also led in this very tight battle. The top six cars, two Porsche, two Corvettes, the two BMWs are within one lap of each other. The Vipers, which led before some mechanical problems, are also in striking distance.

GTD – Porsche 911 GT America Keeping Pace
In the GT Daytona class, Madison Snow (Lehi, Utah) – the youngest driver in the race at 18 years old – is also running his second stint, and is the top Porsche 911 GT America at ten hours in the No. 58 Snow Racing Wright Motorsports car he co-drives with Jan Heylin (Tampa, Florida) and Marco Seefried (Germany).

Cooper MacNeil (Hinsdale, Illinois) is running fifth in the No. 22 WeatherTech Alex Job Racing Porsche 911 GT America he is sharing with Leh Keen (Atlanta, Georgia), Shane Lewis (Jupiter, Florida), Shane van Gisbergen (New Zealand), and LP Doumolin, Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada).

Both cars are on the GTD lead lap.
