Michela Cerruti Signs With Super Nova For 2014 Auto GP Campaign

Michela Cerruti and British team Super Nova International have reached an agreement to tackle the 2014 season together. Michela and the team managed by the Sears family will commit to the Auto GP Championship, a series that already saw Cerruti star last year, when the talented female driver took the wheel in two events with Italian outfit MLR71.
After taking part with Super Nova in both the pre-season testing sessions held so far, in Jerez and Vallelunga, Michela was amazed by the immediate feeling she found with the team's staff and management, both on the sporting and human sides, and she believes that's the right starting point for a satisfying 2014 campaign.
Cerruti will be the first female driver to ever contest a full season in Auto GP, a championship that through the years has crowned current F1 drivers as Romain Grosjean, past F.1 testers like Kevin Ceccon and current GP2 racer Adrian Quaife-Hobbs.

“It's great to join Super Nova in Auto GP - I feel it was a lucky shot to begin the relationship at the end of last year in order to help decide on my direction for 2014. As a driver it is good to know that I have a winning team and car combination and we worked very well in the testing together. I know that I need to improve and the team has already showed that they will help me out in the process. It's the first time I have worked with a non-Italian team and I admire the way that Super Nova work and appreciate and understand that we are pushing for a common goal. Team work is a key factor and it's important to see that the team believes in me so that I can concentrate on driving, knowing that everything else is taken care of professionally”.
