The top drivers in the Dubai Kartdrome based Sodi Sprint Series and the champion teams in the Kartdrome Endurance Championship driven by Mini will join over 260 drivers, from 20 different nations, for two days of World Finals action at the brand new FIA homologated karting track on the grounds of the legendary Le Mans circuit in France.

Emirati drivers Atef Al Barwani, Ali Al Mansoori and Saeed Al Mehairi, along with Dubai based Sam Zian and Ramez Azzam have all qualified to participate in the premier Sodi World Finals Sprint Cup.

Dubai schoolgirl Logan Hannah and Dubai schoolboy Mansour Al Sarrarj have qualified to partake in the Sodi World Finals Junior Sprint Cup.

Kartdrome Endurance champions CG Racing will have two teams in the Sodi World Finals Endurance Cup, along with the Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum led Dubai Falcon Racing Team.

Organisers in France are expecting the fifth edition of the Sodi World Finals to be the biggest one to date, and the largest such gathering in the history of leisure karting races worldwide.

Last year Kartdrome regular Paul Chatenay was runner-up in the Sodi World Finals Sprint Cup, while 2012 Endurance Champions Batelco scooped the top prize in the Sodi World Finals Endurance Cup 24 Hours race.

Kartdrome manager Ryan Trutch said, "Once again we have a very strong contingent from the UAE at the Sodi World Finals in May. The drivers who qualified for the Sodi World Finals Sprint Cup are all capable of winning and becoming world champions."

"In CG Racing and Dubai Falcon Racing Team we will be represented by teams with winning pedigree, and I would not be surprised if one of them ends up celebrating on the top step of the Le Mans podium."

"For the Juniors this is an experience of a life time and I am confident that Logan Hannah and Mansour Al Sarrarj will do the Kartdrome proud."

"For all the drivers and teams this is their reward and recognition they deserve for their commitment and success in the SWS races at the Kartdrome during th course of the 2013 season."

"The level of the Kartdrome SWS endurance and sprint series' is of a very high standard, as a result UAE drivers and teams are among the favourites and we go to France in May confident of a good showing," concluded Trutch.

Meanwhile organisers have released rules and race dates for the 2014 edition of the Kartdrome Endurance Championship driven by Mini, while the second round of the 2014 SWS Sprint Series takes place at the venue - in Motorcity - on Sunday, 9 February.

Points scored in both these series count as qualifiers towards the 2015 edition of the Sodi World Finals.
