ASPAR Team Moto3 - Test Valencia

The highest temperatures of the week greeted the Moto3 and Moto2 riders on the third and final day of testing in Valencia. Temperatures reached just short of 25ªC at the track, and the sun was out. Only a light afternoon wind prevented a perfect day for the riders, and the majority of the participants decided to use the entirety of the day by riding through to 5pm. The fastest times of the day did not improve overall, but it was a positive day for all involved and the timesheets were as close as ever. Miller was the quickest on Day 3, with Juanfran Guevara the big surprise with the third best lap.

For the third day in a row, Juanfran Guevara improved on his personal best times at the Valencian circuit, showing his speedy adaption to the ASPAR Team and to the Moto3 class. The Spaniard clocked a surprising 1’40.112 lap time at midday, making him the third quickest on the day’s combined timesheet. The impressive performance gives reason to suspect that Guevara may be challenging the top guns in the Moto3 category in the imminent future –in what is supposed to be a learning season.

3rd Juanfran Guevara 1.40.112 (50 laps): “I am very happy, because we did a great job over the three days. Today we also saw that the setup we found yesterday is great. In general I am satisfied; I enjoyed riding and the times came relatively easy to me. For a first official test of the year, we have obtained a lot of data and the most important thing is that we have a good base for the rest of the season. I leave Valencia very excited, because we have improved with every day and the times have been fast. My adaption is going the right way, so I hope to continue like this next week at Jerez.”
