Mooresville, NC (February 18, 2014) - After two part-time seasons in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) since 2012, Tyler Young will embark on his first full-time stint in NASCAR's third division in 2014. Young, driver of the No. 02 Young's Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado, will kick-off his Truck Series campaign at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway (DIS), making his debut at the 2.5-mile superspeedway in Friday's NextEra Energy Resources 250. The 23-year-old enters the 15th-annual event with a new associate sponsor, AKL Insurance Group.

A penny for your thoughts - Tyler Young...

You didn't compete in Pre-Season Thunder testing at Daytona back in January; do you see this being a setback for you since you have never competed at Daytona?
"NASCAR has made a lot of changes to the truck bodies for the 2014 season and there were still quite a few unknowns as far as body templates going into that test in January. Although it would have been nice to have the track time, simply because I've never competed at Daytona, I think we will be pretty decent when we unload. This is the first truck we have built in-house and I'm proud of all the effort this team has put into getting it right for Daytona."

NASCAR recently changed the format of qualifying for all three national touring divisions. Would you consider this an advantage or disadvantage for smaller teams like Young's Motorsports?
"I think the new qualifying procedure will help little teams like YMS. In my opinion, you don't have to spend a lot of money for two laps and it's not as important as it was in the past to have everything just right for qualifying. More than anything, I think it will be great for the fans."

2014 brings a new year and a new look to the trucks of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. How do you expect the new nose and tail changes to affect the aerodynamics of the truck?
"I think the new bodies on the trucks are going to race really well. Following the test in Daytona, I heard the trucks were sucking up pretty well, and with the squared-off noses the bumpers will line up better. With them moving the splitters back an inch, I feel like it will help decrease drag, which means speed down the straightaway. I guess I'll get a better idea for the feel once I get on the track Wednesday. Overall, I really like the look of my Chevrolet Silverado; it looks more like a truck off the showroom floor and I think that's something all the fans can relate to - 'real, tough, trucks."
