2014 Daytona: Scott Lagasse NASCAR Nationwide Race Preview

This Week's No. 29 Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow Toyota Camry ... Scott Lagasse will pilot RAB Racing Chassis No. 059 in the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway. This will be the first start for Chassis No. 059 for RAB Racing.

Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow ... RAB Racing welcomes the Florida DOT Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow initiative as a new marketing partner this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. The 'Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow' initiative began in 2011 with the goal of increasing awareness and decreasing crashes, injuries and fatalities of bicyclists and pedestrians in the state of Florida. As part of the Florida DOT's focused initiative, the 'Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow' campaign is being presented via television, radio, social media, transit advertising, and through local education and enforcement activities. The message that 'Safety Doesn't Happen by Accident' is a reminder for all roadway users to pay attention and follow the rules of the road. For more information, visit www.alerttodayflorida.com

Lagasse at Daytona ... Lagasse has competed in four Nationwide Series events at the famed superspeedway, posting a best finish of 18th in 2009's running of the Subway Jalapeno 250. Additionally, Lagasse has competed in two Camping World Truck Series and two ARCA Racing Series events at Daytona International Speedway, notching a top-ten finish in the 2007 ARCA 200.

RAB Racing at Daytona ... In ten NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at Daytona International Speedway, RAB Racing entries have earned two top-10 finishes and have completed 1052 of 1106 (95.1 percent) laps contested in those events, including a team best finish of third last season. Additionally, in four ARCA RE/MAX Series starts at Daytona, RAB Racing has earned one top-five finish.

Matt Lucas at Daytona... Crew chief of the No. 29 Toyota Camry, Matt Lucas will make his debut with RAB Racing at Daytona International Speedway. Lucas is no stranger to success at Daytona, in four NASCAR Nationwide Series starts, Lucas has one win and two top-five finishes. Additionally, he boasts 48 laps led and a near perfect lap completion record. Lucas visited Daytona victory lane Friday, July 5th with driver Matt Kenseth.

Tune In... The DRIVE4COPD 300 from Daytona International Speedway will be televised live Saturday, Feb. 22 beginning at 1 p.m. EST on ESPN and broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network. NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying will be televised live Friday, Feb. 21 beginning at 1:00 p.m. EST on ESPN 2.
