Start Up For Teluru Team JiR Webike

Days of hard work have seen Teluru team JiR Webike busy in a series of consecutive tests in Valencia, Almeria concluding at the Jerez circuit making a total of 2250km. The young rider from the land of the Rising Sun, Tetsuta Nagashima, showed a steady improvement, carrying on the important work that allows the young rider to gradually grow the necessary riding skills to compete in as fierce a category as Moto2, powered by a Honda engine for all participants.

Confidence that has to grow during each time out on the bike, aware that there are still many kilometers to run and confident in the talent of the young rider.

Gianluca Montiron – Team Principal
“We performed a first series of tests helped by the good weather, three circuits with different characteristics have allowed us to get an idea on the job we have to do. Ours is a long-term project, it serves to give the time necessary to Tetsuta to grow aware of the different level of competitiveness that exists between a National Championship and the MotoGP World Championship. For the fifth year we will use the same technical TSR equipment, which is important to have consistency with all the data at our disposal to better support the rider, and during these tests we were joined us a technician from TSR and of Kohara Racing Team. The development of our bike will continue gradually, the same for the rider and for the project in its general concept.”

Tetsuta Nagashima – Rider
"I am very happy to be part of this ambitious project and with a top team as JiR. These tests have allowed me to become familiar with a very different reality to which I’m used to, new tracks, tyres, a new language to learn, there are many changes that I had to find out and I did not think at a level so high seeing the races from the outside. On the last day of the Jerez test I tried to push gradually and I have to say that a gap of just over two seconds is not prohibitive considering that I have vast room for improvement in interpreting the tracks and make the best use of the bike and tyres. I am confident and aware that it will take time but we will achieve satisfaction. “

A special thanks to all our Team Partners, who have given confidence to begin a challenging program that JiR hopes will involve an increasing number of fans to follow the motorcycle.
