2014 Daytona 500: LIVE NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Results - After Lap 39, Multiple Tornado Warnings

Kyle Busch and his No. 18 M&Ms NASCAR Sprint Cup is currently posted as the leader of the 2014 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. At 2:13 PM, all 43 cars stopped on pit road. The official stop of the race occurred on Lap 37 of 200

In the grandstands fans were evacuated due to a Tornado Warning issued by the National Weather Service. @DISUpdates tweeted the following to help alert fans to the alert - Weather Alert: NWS issues Tornado Warning 4 DIS area; Advise 2 clear grandstands & secure items @ campsites. Pls take necessary precautions.

The first warnings were issued for northern Volusia & southern Flagler counties at 2:19 PM & 2:32 PM which are 25 minutes away. The speedway is currently under another warning until 4:15 PM.

Behind Busch, the current top five is Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Brian Vickers, and Paul Menard.

Rain continues to threaten the afternoon with the track conditions obviously changing.

The 2014 NASCAR Daytona 500 got underway as scheduled. Weather updates will continue to be made as changes become clear.
