V8 Ute Driver Assists Yellow Cabs On The Streets Of Adelaide

Before hitting the track this weekend to take part in Round 1 of the 2014 Australian V8 Ute Racing Series, local V8 Ute Driver Craig “Thirsty” Dontas took to the streets of Adelaide today, Tuesday, 25th February in his Thirsty Camel Bottleshops Holden along with the new Just Car Insurance Racing Ute as a Clipsal 500 introduction to celebrate Yellow Cabs newly released Tiger Team.

Tiger Team is a new quick response safety unit that will be implemented to assist taxi drivers with a quick response to security situations.

Yellow Cabs have chosen to release this great initiative as a part of the Clipsal 500 and you will see the Clipsal 500 chase cars also dressed up in Yellow Cabs and Tiger Team livery over the 4 days of the event.

Dontas and staff from Yellow Cabs waiting at Taxi Ranks from 11:30am this morning picking up patrons and the South Aussie said it was some of the most fun he’s had in years.

“It was great; people thought it was an absolute hoot, especially seeing the Utes decked out with the Yellow Cab Lights on the roof. We stopped for so many photos and I think it was a great idea to get the Yellow Cab Tiger Team out there,” said Dontas.

Dontas will now switch his movements to racing his Ute on his home-track this weekend.

“Today was great fun but I now need to focus on the weekend ahead, it’s always a busy round for me, we have a corporate box here every year full of all of the Thirsty Camel Crew and my family and I just hope I can give them a great result,” said Dontas.

See below his full Racing Schedule:
Thursday, 27th February Practice 1 9:00am
