2014 Phoenix: NASCAR Sprint Cup Qualifying Results - Keselowski, Ford On Pole!

By PaddockTalk.com Staff Writers

Brad Keselowski and his No. 2 Alliance Truck Parts Ford won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 10th Annual The Profit on CNBC 500 presented by Small Business Fueling America with a lap of 25.828 seconds, 139.384 mph. His qualifying speed is a track record, beating Jimmie Johnson's qualifying lap of 139.222 mph from Nov. 2013. His teammate Joey Logano (139.265 mph) also surpassed the old track record. This is Keselowski's fourth pole in 163 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races and his first pole and first top-10 start in 2014. This is also his first pole in ten races at Phoenix International Raceway.

Qualifying second, Joey Logano and his No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford posted his first top-10 start of 2014 and his sixth in 11 races at Phoenix International Raceway.

In third, Jamie McMurray and his No. 1 Cessna / Bad Boy Buggies Chevrolet posted his eighth top-10 start at Phoenix International Raceway. It is his first in two races this season.

Jimmie Johnson and his No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet will start fourth with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his No. 88 National Guard Chevrolet rounding out the top five qualifiers.

Kyle Larson was the fastest qualifying rookie, he'll start eighth.

Overall, 46 NASCAR Sprint Cup entries attempted to qualify for Sunday's main event.
