Roush Fenway Racing's 'Race Around America' Takes the Green Flag

The first of eight webisodes chronicling Roush Fenway Racing (RFR) drivers Greg Biffle, Trevor Bayne, Ryan Reed and Chris Buescher as they make their way from race to race throughout the 2014 NASCAR season debuted today at www.racearoundamerica.com.

From now until the final checkered flag of the season in Miami in November, the four drivers will pilot the Walgreens “Race Around America” Ford Mustang across the country’s highways. Along the way, fans will vote on upgrades to the vehicle; eventually transforming the GT in a fully enhanced ROUSH Stage III Mustang. In addition, fans will determine the various routes the drivers take from track to track, as well as special challenges along the way. A camera crew will be on hand for each of the trips, giving the fans an opportunity to ride along via eight webisodes airing throughout the season and to vote on upcoming trips at www.racearoundamerica.com.

This week’s debut webisode features RFR team owner Jack Roush challenging his drivers to determine who wins the honors of being the first to test drive the car, the results of the first fan vote to determine the paint scheme for the vehicle and a historic drive down NASCAR’s memory lane on the shores of Daytona Beach.

The webisodes are a part of a multi-faceted campaign - fueled entirely by fan interaction - that will culminate with one lucky fan having the opportunity to drive home the ROUSH Stage III Mustang.

The Walgreens “Race Around America” is presented by Balance Financial. Visit www.racearoundamerica.com for more details on how you can drive home the custom ROUSH Stage III Mustang used in the series.

Roush Fenway Racing is the winningest team in NASCAR history, fielding multiple teams in the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series’ with championship drivers Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Trevor Bayne, Ryan Reed and Chris Buescher. Having celebrated 25 winning years in 2012, Roush Fenway is the leader in NASCAR marketing solutions, pioneering motorsport’s first team-focused TV show and its award-winning marketing campaigns for “RFR Driven”, “Let Ricky Race”, Pillow Pets, RickyvsTrevor.com, “25 Winning Years” and Google+.
