Indianapolis Ends With Back-To-Back Podium Finishes For GEICO Honda 250SX Riders

GEICO Honda's 250SX riders looked strong Saturday, ending the night with two top-five finishes in the Monster Energy Supercross Series main event at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

For the second week in a row, Justin Bogle ended his night with a podium finish thanks to a third-place effort.

"The start was not good at all for me," Bogle said. "The track was extremely rough and is by far one of the toughest Supercross courses I have ever ridden on in my life. All of the ruts caused a lot of competitors to really make some costly mistakes, which allowed me to capitalize and really ride like myself."

Back-to-back third-place finishes has Bogle sitting among the top three in the points standings with his eye now locked on the championship.

"My main goal is to be fighting for that championship at the end of it all," Bogle said. "But that's only going to happen by me getting out there and really battling hard for these wins. All in all, this is definitely a step in the right direction for myself and the team."

In dramatic fashion, rookie Matt Bisceglia locked himself in the main feature by winning his first pro race, the 250SX Last Chance Qualifier, giving himself an opportunity to continue his night.

"It's not ideally where I wanted to be or where I wanted to get my first real win," Bisceglia said, "but I was happy to get out of it, rip the holeshot, and grab the win. It allowed me to put down some really great laps before the main event.

"The bikes are really running amazing right now," Bisceglia said. "I really thought I had a chance to get on the podium tonight, but the bike was just too tight as the laps wound down. Overall, I am happy. This gives me something to build off of."

Fellow GEICO Honda rider Blake Wharton didn't end the night the way he would have liked, one lap down after an early wreck on Lap 2 of the main event.

The next stop on the tour is the following Saturday at famous Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.
