Bogle Looking For Three In A Row; Bisceglia, Wharton Optimistic Heading Into Daytona

Rising star Justin Bogle is leading the charge for the GEICO Honda 250SX team as the Monster Energy Supercross Series heads to Florida this Saturday for the Daytona Supercross by Honda.

Bogle, who has recorded back-to-back podium finishes in the last two races, is ready to make it three this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Not only is he looking to continue his streak of recent success, but he feels like this could be the weekend he pulls out a victory on a course that suits his riding style.

"I think Indy was a really good training race for this weekend," Bogle said. "It was really tough and rutty to race on just like Daytona. It'll be a beast, as always, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. I welcome rough tracks and the sketchiness that comes with them.

"I'm ready for Daytona and all it has to offer me as a rider. After the rough time I had there last year, I'm ready to seek a little revenge on that place. I think this weekend will end in a win for us for sure."

Grabbing his first Top 5 in the 250SX East series and almost landing himself on the podium, rookie Matt Bisceglia is glad he shook off some early-season issues in Indy and is ready to keep moving forward this weekend. But Daytona is more than the next race on the circuit for Bisceglia to conquer; it's also a significant moment in his career as a rider.

"Now that I have a top-five finish out of the way, my next milestone is to get a podium, for sure," Bisceglia said. "Daytona is going to be gnarly. It's probably going to be the gnarliest Supercross event of the year by far. I'm definitely going to have to put in a good week of training to get ready for it.

"Overall, though, I'm excited and racing there is definitely something I have been dreaming of since I was a kid. The thought of finally getting to race Daytona is a dream come true."

Fellow GEICO Honda 250SX East rider Blake Wharton is looking to overcome a spill in the last race and rebound to front-running form this weekend.

"It was very disappointing to finish where we did in Indy, but those kind of days happen to everyone," Wharton said. "All I can do is keep my head up and get ready for the next race on the circuit, which just happens to be one of the hardest yet."

Live coverage of the race starts at 7:30 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1 from Daytona Beach, Fla.
