Motorcycle Superstore Racers Rock the Podiums

When it rains, it pours and then it gets muddy and sloppy and that's when the Motorcycle Superstore/Bel Helmet riders start to shine.

Kenda AMA National Enduro Series
Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmets pilot Charlie Mullins started the year off right with a big win at the first round of the AMA Enduro Series in Pelion, SC. "It feels good to start off the year with a win," said Mullins, who is looking to claim his second straight, and third career national Enduro title. "I took a pretty hard crash in the first test, but I was able to keep the bike running and get back on the gas fast enough to still win the test."

Right behind Mullins was another Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet support rider, Jesse Groemm. Groemm rides for Shane Watt's Maxxis/Klim/Dirtwise/KTM Race Team and is already showing signs he will be a rider to contend with when it comes to winning the championship. "I was tight and felt like I was riding horrible in the first test, but I picked it up after that and had a strong finish, which put me into the runner-up spot."

AirGroup Racing Husqvarna's Nick Fahringer finished fourth, despite discovering afterwards that he had some internal fork issues during the race. With 1st, 2nd and 4th place finishes, Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet riders put on an impressive show at the opening round. Factory Husqvarna's Andrew Delong finished 7th overall.

In the Women's Class, FMF/RPM/KTM rider Rachel Gutish finished 3rd overall. "I'm not much of a sand rider, as there's not a whole lot of that in Indiana, so I've never had much luck here. Leaving with a podium finish gave me a lot more than I'd been expecting."

AMA Western Hare Scrambles and Big 6 Combo Race
This past weekend, the AMA Western Hare Scrambles series and the Big 6 Grand Prix series joined forces and invaded Glen Helen, CA, for what was one muddy, sloppy race weekend and a whole bunch of podiums for the Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet support riders. Eric Yorba put his FMF/RPM/KTM on top the podium and Factory Husqvarna's Jacob Argubright weathered the mucky goop for a 2nd overall behind Yorba. "I'm still picking mud out of my eyes, but that was an epic mud race!" Argubright exclaimed. "I had some awesome battles and I'm happy with second for the day. I couldn't have made it through such a muddy race without my awesome sponsors."

Yorba had this to say, "This weekend was great for me. I couldn't not be happier to finally get my first official pro win. It was a tough, rainy and muddy race at the AMA Big 6 / Western Hare Scrambles at Glen Helen. I got off to a great start getting the holeshot and leading the first lap up until my pit stop to get goggles. Gary Sutherlin and I battled for most of the 2nd lap until a mistake by him got him stuck in a mud hole. I was able to get the lead back and just ride a smooth race to get the win."

With today's finishes, Argubright has a commanding lead in the Hare Scrambles series and Yorba is leading the Big 6 series.

The Motorcycle Superstore/Bell Helmet ladies were also a major force scoring, 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishes and monopolizing the podium. Tatum Sik, on her new Yamaha YZ250 stood on top, Elizabeth Bash was 2nd and Rily Ellinger continued her podium streak with a 3rd place finish. "I love my new bike," claimed Tatum "and my Bell Moto 9 worked great in the mud and rain."

Monster Energy Supercross
It was an off week for Justin Brayton in Indianapolis as food poisoning definitely took a toll on his results. Justin toughed it out, however, finishing a solid 8th overall. He currently sits 5th in points.

Australia National Enduro Series
As a warm-up for a variety of off-road races starting up across the USA, Mike Brown took his Factory Husqvarna to Australia to see how he stacked up against the fast boys down under. Brown piloted his FE 350 to the overall win with a 1-2-2 score in the Pro Class Heats, taking top honors at the final round of the 2014 series. The week prior in Sydney, Brown was on the podium with a solid 3rd place finish. The boys in the U.S. need to be ready... because it sounds like Brown is.

Upcoming Races...
We have a full week of racing in front of us... the GNCC Series moves down to Florida, the Supercross series hits the floor of the Daytona International Speedway and the next day the Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross entries will ride the same track as the Pros... plus that will also be the first round of the new Women's Motocross Series. On Thursday and Friday, AMA Pro Flat Track invades the dirt oval at Daytona and AMA Pro Road Race kicks off the season on the legendary International Speedway track.
