“Wild Ones – Young Heroes”
Rally youngster Mikkelsen in the limelight

Volkswagen works driver Andreas Mikkelsen will appear in the second series of TV documentary “Wild Ones – Young Heroes”. The 24-year-old will give an exciting glimpse into his life in the co-production from Pro Sieben and Red Bull Media House as he talks about his family, hobbies and of course the WRC. In addition to the rally driver, the action-packed documentary will also star free skier Bene Mayr, Motocross star Ken Roczen, freestyle mountain biker Peter Henke and big wave surfer Maya Gabeira. Filming will follow the five extreme sport stars to over 20 locations all across the world. “Wild Ones – Young Heroes” will be shown on Pro Sieben Fun starting 6 May.

Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup China
Lok starts the new season with a double win

William Lok has won the season opener in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup China. The racing driver from Hong Kong dominated the race weekend in Zhuhai at will. He led both qualifying sessions to take pole position and crossed the finishing line in first place in each of the two races. In the first race he finished 12.5 second ahead of Kevin Tse and around 15 seconds ahead of David Lau. It was much closer in the second race: Lok clinched victory by a margin of exactly 0.087 seconds ahead of Naomi Schiff and Lau was third. In the overall classification Lok now has a sizeable lead with 40 points ahead of Lau (24 points) and Tse (15 points). The next race weekend of the Scirocco R-Cup China will be staged from 23 to 25 May in Shanghai.

The Facebook page of Volkswagen Motorsport passed the three million Likes mark this weekend, continuing its impressive trend on the world's largest social media network. An average of 20,000 fans a day have been added since the start of this season's FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), in which Volkswagen are defending champions. Volkswagen Motorsport keeps its Facebook fans up to date with the latest news, pictures and videos from various motorsport disciplines.
