Rookie Ben Rhodes raced like a veteran, taking the lead late in the race and winning the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway. The race was a NASCAR K&N Pro Series East event. Rhodes led the race twice for a total of 106 laps.

The competitors all raced on Goodyear Eagle bias-ply tires, from the same line of tires supplied to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and the Canadian Tire Series. Teams can and do compete in the three NASCAR series interchangeably, in part because they have experience with the Eagles that will be used at any given event in the three programs.

Rhodes led early in the event, lost the lead and then passed Cameron Hayley to retake the lead with 26 laps remaining. Rhodes was not headed again. He averaged 58.366 mph for the race distance after taking the pole with a qualifying lap averaging 87.024 mph.

Ronnie Bassett Jr. finished second, .779 of a second behind the winner. Hayley took third after leading twice for 29 laps. Jesse Little was fourth and Daniel Suarez took fifth after starting 15th. Rhodes leads the title hunt with 160 points. Suarez sits second with 153. Goodyear employs about 69,000 people at manufacturing plants and facilities in 22 nations. Based in Akron, Ohio, Goodyear is among the largest tiremakers in the world and is the worldwide leader in race tire innovation.
