TRAVEL IS OUR DEAL: Allegiant Travel will adorn the sides of Spencer Gallagher’s No. 23 Chevrolet Silverado for Saturday’s Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway. With low-low fares, nonstop, all-jet service and premier travel partners, Allegiant provides a complete travel experience with great value and without all the hassle. Allegiant services two airports – Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA) and Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, N.C. (GSO) – within one hour from Martinsville with nonstop flights to Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFO) and St. Petersburg-Clearwater (Fla.) International Airport (PIE).

FIRST OF SEVEN: Saturday’s race marks the first of seven Truck Series events on Gallagher’s schedule for 2014. The 24-year-old will also compete at Kansas Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, Phoenix International Raceway, and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

TEST 1, 2, 3: Two weeks ago, Gallagher and his No. 23 GMS Racing team tested at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway in preparation for Saturday’s Truck Series race at Martinsville.

CHASSIS INFORMATION: GMS Racing will bring Chassis No. 061 to Martinsville Speedway. This is the same chassis Brendan Gaughan drove last fall during the Truck Series event at the ‘Paperclip.’ After starting in the 15th position, Gaughan drove this particular Chevrolet to a second-place finish.

GOING FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP: In addition to the seven Truck Series races, Gallagher competes full-time in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. Last weekend at Mobile (Ala.) International Speedway, Gallagher qualified in the 11th position, ran inside the top-five for over 180 of 200 laps contended, and overcame a late race spin to finish in seventh-place. Gallagher currently sits sixth in the championship point standings.

Spencer Gallagher on racing at Martinsville Speedway:
“Martinsville is one of those places that is tough to figure out. I made my first laps around the track last year and getting your truck around the curb can be tricky. The concrete surface also makes things interesting, because it has so much more grip than asphalt. It takes rubber aggressively during the race and then will lose it under caution. It is constantly changing.”
