Fred Explains!


The new regulations governing the FIA World Endurance Championship and the Le Mans 24 Hours need an explanation. Fred, the host of ‘It ain’t rocket science’ tell us what they’re all about in an instructive series free of rights.

The Automobile Club de l’Ouest has launched the production of a series of 12 short films to explain to the general public the key points of this set of revolutionary regulations in motor sport: what’s at stake, the modifications made by each manufacturer to comply with them to win the greatest endurance races in the world starting with the Le Mans 24 Hours.

This series made by VO Productions is presented by Fred Courant the host of ‘It ain’t rocket science’ with the participation of specialised motor sport journalist, Pierre Van Vliet.

The first one, ‘Why a new set of regulations?’ was given its première in Paris on 13th February during the press conference presenting the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours.

A new film will be shown every Wednesday up till the Le Mans 24 Hours (June 14-15) starting today 26th March

These films are free of rights so media internet or partner’s site, can broadcast them by going to the site and then relaying the embedded code on their own portal.

Exceptionally, to launch the series the first two will be shown today.
