2014 Malaysia GP: Formula One F1 Practice Two Results - Rosberg, Mercedes On Top!

The Formula One F1 series has completed practice session two at the Sepang International Circuit in Sepang, Malaysia in preparation for the 2014 Malaysian Grand Prix. Fastest during the 90 minute session was Nico Rosberg and his No. 6 Mercedes with a best lap of 1:39.909 out of 30 total. Rosberg's time was 3.3 seconds off the best qualifying time in 2013.

Second quick for the second session in a row was Kimi Raikkonen and his No. 7 Ferrari with a lap of 1:39.944, he was a mere 0.035 seconds off Rosberg's leading pace.

Sebastian Vettel and his No. 1 Red Bull Racing-Renault have found the bit with a lap of 1:39.970. The four-time world champion was nearly as quick as the Mercedes at .061 seconds off his pace.

Lewis Hamilton and his No. 44 Mercedes led the opening session but turned the fourth best time of 1:40.051 in practice two.

Fernando Alonso and his No. 14 Ferrari were fifth quick followed by Felipe Massa (Williams-Mercedes), Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull Racing-Renault), Jenson Button (McLaren-Mercedes), Valtteri Bottas (Williams-Mercedes), and Nico Hulkenberg (Force India-Mercedes).

Overall, 20 Formula One F1 entries turned timed laps. Pastor Maldonado (Lotus) once again was unable to take the track. Next up, is practice session three on Saturday ahead of qualifying for the 2014 Malaysian Grand Prix.
