Rally Cars Set To Sparkle Thanks To Armor All Power Stage Sponsorship

The 2014 East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship’s (ECB ARC) Power Stage will this year be recognised as the ARMOR ALL Power Stage thanks to the support of the Armored AutoGroup.

Sponsorship of the Power Stage is a further boost to the increasingly popular national championship which also forms part of the World Rally Championship’s Australian leg, Coates Hire Rally Australia, in September.

ARMOR ALL will also be the Official Car Care Sponsor of the Coates Hire Rally Australia, which is Australasia’s only round of the World Rally Championship, with ARMOR ALL’s brand being promoted to a huge international audience.

The ARMOR ALL Power Stage is a separate stage contested the morning preceding the rally by ECB ARC registered drivers with a qualifying run first before the top-5 then compete on the Power Stage.

Additional bonus championship points of 5, 3 and 1 are allocated at each event for the respective performances on each ARMOR ALL Power Stage as well as $500 prize money for the Power Stage winner.

Round 1 of the ECB ARC, the National Capital Rally in Canberra, saw Mazda driver Brendan Reeves take out the inaugural ARMOR ALL Power Stage.

“We’re delighted to be on-board as naming rights sponsor of the Australian Rally Championship’s Power Stage,” said Paul Blair, ARMOR ALL General Manager – Australia, New Zealand.

“The ARC is a fantastic championship with a healthy following of motorsport and motoring enthusiasts making it a perfect fit for the ARMOR ALL brand.

“Just one pass over the Power Stage is enough to cover a car from head to toe in mud and dirt so it’s fantastic to see a range of ARMOR ALL product also being used around the service parks and some sparkling rally cars heading out to SS1 following the ARMOR ALL Power stage.”

ECB ARC Director Scott Pedder is delighted with the Power Stage partnership which sees ARMOR ALL step up its involvement in the popular rally series.

“It’s fantastic to have ARMOR ALL on board as partner of the ARC again in 2014 and we welcome them on-board as naming rights sponsor of the Power Stage,” said Pedder.

“The newly formed Power Stage concept is an amazing spectacle for fans both at the event and on TV / Online as it really spices up the competition with some hefty bonus points up for grabs.

“Like many Aussies I’ve been detailing my car with ARMOR ALL all my life and when it comes to car care it doesn't get much better.”

The 2014 ECB ARC consists of six rounds contested over five states or territories and this year enjoys healthy coverage on the 10 Network and SPEED TV Australia as well as a strong online and social media presence.

Round 2 of the ARC kicks off this weekend in Western Australia for the QUIT Forest Rally - April 4-6.

The ARMOR ALL Power Stage gets underway this Friday at 10.15am local time at the Trade Hire Super Stage in Busselton WA.

2014 ARC standings (Rounds 1 of 6)
1. Reeves/Gelsomino - Mazda2 - 86
2. Pedder/Moscatt - Renault Clio - 61
3. Coppin/Batten - Citroen DS3 - 60
4. Mackenzie/Mackenzie - Ford Fiesta ST - 54
5. Patton/Webb - VW Polo - 42
