2014 Texas: TriStar Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide Race Preview


After a peaceful NASCAR Nationwide Series off weekend last weekend, the TriStar Motorsports team is ready to head to Ft. Worth, TX for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 this weekend. TriStar Motorsports will field four Toyota Racing Camrys this weekend at Texas' 1.5-mile quad oval; one of which will have a native Texan behind the wheel.

Blake Koch, No. 10 Support Military Foundation Camry
Blake Koch is back in the No. 10 Support Military Foundation Camry this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Koch has 6 previous Nationwide Series starts at Texas Motor Speedway with a best finish of 22nd in 2011.

Eric McClure, No. 14 Hefty®/Reynolds Wrap® Camry
This weekend's event at Texas Motor Speedway will mark McClure's 232nd career Nationwide Series start and his 15th at the 1.5-mile speedway. In 14 starts, he has completed 87.2% of the total laps completed and has an average finish of 28.9. Last year during the Spring Texas race, McClure only ran until the first caution, when Jeff Green took over, due to the stomach flu.

Mike Bliss, No. 19 Support Military Foundation/Tweaker Camry
Mike Bliss will be behind the wheel of the Support Military Foundation/Tweaker Energy Shot Camry this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Bliss has 17 previous Nationwide Series starts at the speedway and has an average finish of 16.9. During last Spring's event, Bliss qualified 18th and finished 20th.

David Starr, No. 44 Whataburger Camry
Whataburger is on board the No. 44 Toyota Camry this weekend with Houston Texas native, David Starr behind the wheel. Texas Motor Speedway is Starr's home track and he has 40 NASCAR starts at the speedway with an average finish of 27.4. Whataburger, which is headquartered in San Antonio Texas, will make its NASCAR debut during Friday night's Nationwide Series event.
