Quick Turnaround As Volvo Polestar Racing Head To Winton 400

There is no rest for Volvo Polestar Racing drivers Scott McLaughlin and Robert Dahlgren, who will hit the track for the V8 Supercars Championship round at the Winton 400 this weekend, less than a week after the Tasmania 400.

McLaughlin had a solid outing in Tasmania where he climbed from 15th to seventh in the drivers' championship standings, but he's expecting a tougher assignment this weekend.

"Winton is not going to be one of our strongest tracks due to its characteristics, and the fact we haven't got as much front grip as rear grip," said McLaughlin.

"But the boys are doing a great job and I still think we will be pretty good. I'm hoping to continue scoring vital points."

Team-mate Dahlgren showed promising form in qualifying where he took a personal best 10th on the grid for one of the races in Tasmania. The Swede is aiming to break into the top 10 in the races this weekend.

"It is nice to have a race weekend straight after the other, especially for me as a newcomer to the championship. We have a really good car and the plan for the weekend is to mix with the front runners," said Dahlgren.

The Winton 400 race weekend is a Super Sprint format, with three qualifying sessions and three races - two races of 34 laps each on Saturday, and the final race of 67 laps on Sunday.
